BACK FROM HOLIDAYS
ALLYSON: Joe! What a surprise! When did you back?
JOE: Last night. The plane landed at 11.30 and I got to bed at half past two this morning!
ALLYSON: Are you tired?
JOE: Yes, I am. The flight from Los Angeles took thirteen hours. Then we had to wait at the airport for our luggage.
ALLYSON: Well, what do you think of America?
JOE: It’s fantastic! Everything is so big: the skyscrapers, the cars, the shops. Have you ever been to America?
ALLYSON: Yes, I have, I went to Boston two years ago. My uncle Jack, lives there. Did you go to New York?
JOE: Yes, we did. In fact, that’s where our journey started. We travelled by train from New York on the East Coast to Los Angeles on the West Coast.
ALLYSON: By train? How fantastic!
JOE: Yes, It’s a great way to see America. And what about you? did you enjoy your holidays?
ALLYSON: Yes, I did! We went on a tour to Ireland.
JOE: Great! I’ve never been to Ireland, but I know that it’s a little boring because the weather is terrible.
ALLYSON: Well, if you don’t like sheep and rain, it’s not the better place for a holiday!
